Responsibilities Primary Purpose

– Performs customer service duties in accordance with department and company objectives. Acts as a liaison between customers and the company to facilitate sales and resolve account or service problems. Provides customers with information about products and services, solicits and maintains favorable contacts with current and potential key accounts, and develops relationships that benefit the overall business plan. Builds good relationships to maintain and increase market share. Provides timely and efficient quotes, order entries, schedule changes, and resolves delivery issues in production. Follow‑up on quotes to understand how the business was won and why it was lost (pricing, lead‑time, delivery, etc.).

Major Activities

Daily interaction with customers: prepare quotes, perform data entry, and follow up on orders while handling complaints professionally and timely.

Process strategic quotes for RFQs and coordinate with Product Managers, Buyers, and Account Managers.

Act as liaison between customers and internal departments (Shipping, Planning, Engineering, and Quality).

Prepare, process, and coordinate large spreadsheets for the Customer Support team.

Prepare quotes including pricing and delivery, coordinating with the appropriate department when pricing is unavailable or delivery does not meet customer needs.

Accept orders, book orders to the applicable location, coordinate item master creation, and implement changes from change notices (cancellations, reschedules, quantity changes). Address customers’ needs for late deliveries or expedited parts.

Perform proper contract review and follow all sales procedures.

Maintain organized sales files: purchase order, sales order, changes, notices, and correspondence with customer or factory.

Handle initial rejected parts or paperwork from the customer, coordinate with the Quality Department, and issue a Return of Material Authorization as needed.

Work with Howmet Credit on past‑due invoices or short pays, research issues, and initiate credit/debit memos.

Obtain knowledge of Howmet Fastening Systems products, including conversions, substitutions, and competitor products.

Understand customer terms & conditions and long‑term agreements; possess knowledge of contract language.

Hospital: In absence of other team members, support customers in a backup role. Work with minimal supervision, manage a fast‑paced work environment, and handle stressful situations.

Be well organized and possess good time‑management skills.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Read, write, and understand English.

Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
