The
Senior Director of Artificial Intelligence
is accountable for defining, governing, and scaling JBPCO’s enterprise AI strategy to drive measurable productivity, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage across operating companies. This role owns the AI roadmap end-to-end translating emerging technologies into pragmatic, high‑ROI use cases while ensuring disciplined execution, data integrity, security, and responsible AI practices. This is not a research role. It is a hands‑on enterprise leadership position focused on execution, adoption, and results across a diversified industrial portfolio. An enterprise value driver, operating‑model architect, and disciplined executor.
Essential Job Functions:
Enterprise AI Strategy & Governance
Define and own JBPCO’s multi-year AI and advanced analytics strategy aligned to corporate priorities and operating company needs.
Establish enterprise standards for AI governance, security, data usage, compliance, and responsible AI, in coordination with IT and Legal.
Lead the AI development and deployment, setting intake, prioritization, stage‑gates, and funding recommendations for AI initiatives.
Use-Case Identification & Value Delivery
Translate AI capabilities (e.g., GenAI, agents, predictive analytics) into clearly defined business use cases with quantified ROI.
Prioritize initiatives that deliver near‑term productivity gains and operational leverage, particularly in back‑office, commercial, and operational workflows.
Own success metrics for AI initiatives, including adoption, productivity impact, financial returns, and risk posture.
Oversee enterprise AI architecture and tooling, ensuring integration with core systems (ERP, CRM, PLM, data platforms).
Partner with IT to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, cost‑controlled, and production‑ready.
Establish standards for MLOps, model lifecycle management, monitoring, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
Operating Company Enablement
Serve as an executive partner to operating companies, helping them identify, pilot, and scale AI solutions aligned to real business problems.
Balance enterprise consistency with local flexibility—avoiding redundant tools while enabling BU‑specific value creation.
Act as executive sponsor for priority AI initiatives, incorporating user feedback and continuous improvement.
Talent, Capability & Change
Build and lead a high‑performing AI and analytics leadership bench across multiple disciplines.
Develop AI fluency across the enterprise through enablement, playbooks, and role‑based training in partnership with HR and Learning.
Create a sustainable culture of experimentation grounded in discipline, data quality, and business accountability.
Success Metrics
Demonstrated productivity and cost‑efficiency gains attributable to AI adoption.
Percentage of AI initiatives meeting or exceeding forecast ROI.
Enterprise adoption rates of approved AI tools and workflows.
Data quality, model performance, and compliance KPIs consistently within tolerance.
Strength and engagement of the AI leadership network across operating companies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced technical degree strongly preferred.
12+ years of progressive experience in analytics, AI, data, or digital transformation, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale AI or advanced analytics solutions with measurable business outcomes.
Deep understanding of modern data and AI stacks, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems integration.
Experience operating in complex, multi‑business or industrial environments preferred.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across corporate, IT, and operating company leadership.
