2026 Recreation Delano Hitch Aquatic Center Seasonal Employment Opportunities
Pool Director
$25/hour. 40 hours per week x 22 weeks. Must be 21 or over to apply. Must be available for day, evening, and weekend hours. Performs a variety of work including planning, scheduling and maintaining seasonal operation of the City Delano Hitch Pool and Aquatic Center, overseeing lifeguards and promoting pool safety. Water Safety Instructor Certification required. Lifeguard or Lifeguard Management Certification required. Two (2) years of pool operation and facility maintenance experience required. Assistant Pool Director
$24/hour. 40 hours per week x 22 weeks. Must be 18 or over to apply. Must be available for day, evening, and weekend hours. Assists in performing a variety of work including planning, scheduling and maintaining seasonal operation of the City Delano Hitch Pool and Aquatic Center, overseeing lifeguards and promoting pool safety. Water Safety Instructor Certification required. Lifeguard or Lifeguard Management Certification required. One (1) year pool operation and facility maintenance experience required. Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
$22/hour. 40 hours per week x 20 weeks. Must be 18 or over to apply. Must be available for day, evening, and weekend hours. Responsible for planning, organizing and providing quality swimming and water safety instruction. Water Safety Instructor Certification required. Lifeguard or Lifeguard Management Certification required. Pool operation and facility maintenance experience preferred. Lifeguards
$20/hour. 40 hours per week x 16 weeks. Must be 16 or over to apply. Must be available for day, evening, and weekend hours. Ensure swimmers follow safety rules and provides assistance to swimmers who are in distress. Lifeguard Certification Required – or ability to obtain license by attending provided classes.
