Responsibilities

Providing prompt, accurate answers to internal and external customers through telephone, email, and chat.

Setting up new customer accounts and entering customer transactions.

Assisting with requests on pricing, shipping, product availability, terms and conditions, and item information.

Assisting customers in determining product needs and providing basic assistance on products.

Acting as liaison and customer advocate, interfacing with other Hach departments.

Ensuring long‑term customer relationships by utilizing professional customer service skills.

Identifying sales opportunities and offering suggestions for complementary items to the customer.

Identifying and submitting sales leads.

Qualifications

High School diploma required. An associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field is preferred.

3‑5 years’ experience in customer service roles.

Expressed aptitude for working in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

Ability to resolve customer complaints, as well as provide follow‑up to customers and supervisor.

Demonstrated computer proficiency. Experience with Microsoft Office required; Salesforce and Oracle preferred.

Compensation US ONLY: The range reflects possible compensation and may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skill, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue‑based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

Compensation range: $23.00 - $28.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
