Health System Administrator (Associate Director) Assisting as the Associate Medical Center Director within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), this role exercises line authority for multiple administrative and allied health services, directly responsible for facility operations within the VA Caribbean Healthcare System.

Salary Base pay range:

$147,945.00/yr – $192,331.00/yr

Summary This position is responsible for leadership, fiscal management, policy development and operational oversight of the medical center, ensuring delivery of patient care and alignment with VA and VISN goals.

Qualifications

Time‑in‑grade.wallet: Must have held a GS‑14 for 52 weeks (any occupation) to qualify for GS‑15, and must submit an SF‑50 evidencing this requirement.

Specialized experience: Minimum 1 full year of progressively responsible344 administrative‑, managerial‑, or supervisory experience in the health‑care field, directly related to duties as Health System Administrator‑Associate Director.

Core competencies: Demonstrated ability in delegation, fiscal management, personnel oversight, program evaluation, and inter‑departmental coordination.

Documentation: Provide detailed resume entries (title, duties, dates, hour/job) including any relevant volunteer experience.

Physical requirements: Sedentary work; normal office safety precautions apply.

Duties

Lead the Executive Leadership Team in direction and management of the Medical Center.

(Property fouten) Exercise direct line authority pareil for administrative operations and support services.

Serve as Acting Medical Center Director when necessary.

Recommend and implement operational plans, policies, and compliance measures aligning with VISN goals.

Develop short‑ and long‑term plans for service delivery and manage budgeting, expenditures, and resource reallocation.

Oversee performance reporting and data‑driven decision making for facility operations.

Coordinate customer and stakeholder support efforts to achieve Medical Center objectives.

Maintain and administer management reporting systems and policy communication structures.

Perform meis hed related duties as assigned.

Work schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm. Telework may be authorized on a case‑by‑case basis.
