Bishop Arts Theatre
Bishop Arts Theatre Center (BATC) is seeking an experienced and energetic Summer Camp Director to lead our Summer Theatre STEAM Camp. The Director will oversee all aspects of the program, including curriculum implementation, staff supervision, daily operations, camper safety, and the final student showcase. This role is ideal for a theatre or arts education professional passionate about youth development, leadership, and creative learning.
Responsibilities
Plan and manage daily camp programming integrating theatre, dance, music, visual arts, STEAM learning, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
Supervise rehearsals and coordinate the culminating camp showcase performance.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for campers ages 6–12.
Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians.
Oversee daily camp operations, including attendance, check‑in/check‑out, meals, and materials.
Ensure compliance with BATC policies, safety procedures, and child protection standards.
Collaborate with BATC administrative staff on facilities, schedules, and program needs.
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience working with youth in education, camp, or arts settings.
Leadership or supervisory experience required.
Background in theatre, performing arts, or arts education preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp begins).
Ability to pass a background check.

Monday–Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Campers:
Ages 6–12 (grouped by age)
