Job Summary The
IHSS Director
provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to eligible individuals. This role is responsible for regulatory compliance, program development, staff supervision, fiscal management, and community outreach. The Director serves as the primary liaison between the agency, government IHSS offices, providers, and consumers, promoting independence, dignity, and safety for clients receiving in-home care.
Salary
$90,000 – $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Schedule
Hybrid role based out of any of our Colorado locations —
Aurora, Westminster, Loveland, or Colorado Springs
Reports To
Administrator/Director of Clinical Services
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall management and direction of IHSS operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards
Identify opportunities for program growth as it relates to community relations, government relations and new opportunities that arise in the IHSS space
Monitor service delivery to ensure clients/patients receive appropriate care and support in accordance with individualized service plans
Supervise and evaluate IHSS staff
Help to coordinate audits, quality assurance reviews, and corrective action plans
Help to develop and manage the IHSS program budget
Collaborate with other departments to ensure marketing, hiring, quality, and data needs are met
Monitor KPIs (monthly admissions, net census growth, referral acceptance rate, time-to-start, hours utilization match, along with other metrics)
Represent the organization at community events, stakeholder meetings, and advocacy forums
Build strong partnerships (internally and externally) to enhance service delivery and client/patient outcomes
Work with clinical partners to develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure program efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of consumer rights, and home care service delivery
Home Health leadership experience, IHSS experience preferred
Strong understanding of Home Health operations, connecting clients with clinicians
Proven track record in referral partnerships, intake/throughput optimization, and analytics/dashboarding
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and compliance requirements
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
