Women’s Health & Genetics Customer Service Support Representative

Labcorp Women’s Health - Every Mom Pledge team has an exciting career opportunity for a Customer Service Support Representative. This fast‑paced work‑from‑home position is part of a dedicated team responsible for providing assistance to patients and clients to better understand health insurance coverage, cost and payment options and to answer billing questions over the phone.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to work in a high call volume environment (averaging ~75 calls per day)
Ability to research and communicate complex information in a clear/concise manner
Ability to navigate and work in multiple systems/websites simultaneously
Provide assistance to prospective clients and patients regarding any questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage and financial responsibilities
Receive and process credit card payments over the phone adhering to PCI compliance protocol
Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems
Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections and case notes
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations
Assist with other duties as assigned
License/Certification/Education Recommended:
Associate’s degree with at least 1+ year prior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience
Professionally fluent and proficient in both English/Spanish desired
5 plus years of experience in the specialty testing/genetics customer service preferred
Requirements
Healthcare experience preferred
Knowledge of professional medical billing and collection practices preferred
Previous customer service experience handling high call volume preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures
Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy
Must be organized and detail‑oriented
Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience
Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred
Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes highly preferred
Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) desired
XIFIN experience preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Remote Technical Requirements
Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second
No satellite internet
Equipment cannot be connected through Wi‑Fi
Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord
Schedule Monday‑Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm PST 10:30am‑7:00pm EST 9:30am‑6:00pm CST

Pay Range $17.75‑$21.00 an hour

Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
