Position Summary
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Clinical Scientists / Clinical Scientist to join our client’s Clinical Development team. This role will provide scientific oversight for ongoing clinical studies supporting the product pipeline and will play a critical role in advancing psychiatry and neuroscience programs. The position involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and frequent engagement with investigators through site visits to ensure scientific alignment, protocol integrity, and high‑quality data generation. The role also supports the development of strong scientific and business relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The ideal candidate has a strong clinical science background in neuroscience or psychiatry and thrives in a fast‑paced biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide scientific support and oversight for clinical studies across the product pipeline.
Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Medical Monitoring, Data Management, Biostatistics, and external partners throughout the trial lifecycle.
Conduct site visits to engage investigators, ensure scientific alignment, and support protocol execution.
Review and interpret clinical data, including participation in blinded data reviews (BDA).
Contribute to study synopses, protocols, clinical study reports, and regulatory submissions (INDs, NDAs).
Participate in scientific advisory boards and KOL meetings.
Support safety surveillance activities and safety review meetings.
Assist with site selection and investigator engagement.
Support scientific publications, abstracts, and presentations.
Mentor or manage Clinical Scientist team members as the function grows.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in a scientific or clinical discipline; neuroscience or psychiatry focus preferred
6+ years in a Clinical Scientist role in biotech/pharma; management experience a plus
Experience in psychiatry trials, including late‑stage (Phase 2/3) development
Strong understanding of GCP and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience with clinical KOLs, depression scales (MADRS, HAM‑D, PHQ‑9), digital endpoints, ePRO, or decentralized trials
