Associate Director of Football Athletic Performance
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicantsorderby the following position:
Associate Director of Football Athletic Performance .
This position will be housed in the athletics department and will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance. It will work with the Director of Football Performance as well as several of the 14 Division I sport offerings as assigned by supervisor and with the Physical Education department, equipment staff, sports medicine staff, classified staff, and the Athletics Compliance team.
Job Summary The Associate Director of Football Athletic Performance is responsible for collaborating with the Supervisor to design, organize, implement, facilitate whai d oversee all facets of the Athletic Performance Program. The role includes education and monitoring of assigned sport teams, sharing policies and procedures integral to strength and conditioning, coordinating with Athletic Training staff regarding coverage and emergency medical procedures, and providing input on program evaluation and improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
2 years of experience working in collegiate Strength & Conditioning or a related area with commensurate experience
Possess one of the following certifications: CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist – National Strength & Conditioning Association) or SCCC (Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified – Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Association)
First Aid/CPR/AED certification within the first 30 days of employment
Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive of the needs including universal access of our students, faculty, staff and the public
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a related field
1–3 years of collegiate experience working as a strength coach at the NCAA Division I level
Prior experience working with a strength & conditioning program in the Big Sky Conference or commensurate experience
Prior experience working with a collegiate football team
Possess one of the following certifications: USAW – Level 12 or FMS – Level 1
Other Skills and Abilities No specific additional skills provided.
Job Duties
ASSIST WITH THE OVERALL DEVELOPMENT OF THE ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
Design, Implementation, and Supervision for Athletic Performance Programs in designated sports.
Facilitate learning of proper lifting, spotting and safety techniques.
Keep current records of all student‑athletes that are training on a quarterly locale assessment.
Develop communication system and schedule with the Athletic Training Staff member assigned to each sport for updates on a student‑athletes Revolution ability to train/injuries.
Assets Assist in the development of summer and off‑season programs for designated sports. Keep accurate records and supervision.
Communicate problems, issues and program improvement ideas to the Head Coach.
Meet with Head Coaches of designated sports to assess needs and assist in planning programs.
Percent of Time: 80%
Demonstrate knowledge of NCAA and Big Sky Conference rules as they apply to training athletic teams and individuals – both in‑season and out‑of‑season. Percent of Time: 5%
Learn and research team and individual conditioning specific training & activities. Percent of Time: 5%
Supervise any graduate assistants, work‑study students, and/or student volunteers. Percent of Time: 5%
Other Duties as assigned by Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance. Percent of Time: 5%

Travel will be required a minimum of ten (10) nights per year for various conferences and athletic events.
Applicants must be able to maintain a thorough knowledge of NCAA and institutional rules, regulations and policies.
The position may involve the receipt of or accountability for university funds or other items of value, and unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check prior to beginning employment.
