Responsibilities
Overall operations responsibility across food and general merchandise areas.
Management of planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps throughout the store.
Engage team members and leadership to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers.
Create a culture that drives positive team‑member engagement to retain talent and recruit new talent to meet forecasted staffing needs.
Identify, select, and develop talent within the store.
Uphold cultural standards and values through open, clear, and effective communication.
Assess the financial results of the store, implement, and execute appropriate business strategies to drive profitability.
Develop strategies to improve customer service, store sales, and profitability.
Ensure customer needs are met and complaints are resolved effectively and efficiently.
Ensure all products and displays are merchandised to maximize sales and profitability.
Act as a strong community partner byтона cultivating relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.
Assist the Store Director in running overall store operations as needed.
Lead performance‑management activities for leaders and team members, including ratings, career development, and promotion decisions.
Attract, select, and retain a team that supports the Meijer culture, valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Communicate daily with the team, leading huddles to share financial performance, customer feedback, recognition, and other important information.
Drive candid and open communication built on Meijer’s philosophy of Care and Accountability.
Communicate product freshness standards and ensure processes and procedures are followed.
Act as the point of responsibility for all นี้ store operations in the Store Director’s absence.
Verify operations run in compliance with Meijer’s and local authorities’ food‑safety standards.
Assist in creating a connection with the communities and customers we serve.
Deliver on key performance metrics including sales, shrink, labor, margin, total direct contribution, net profit, customer satisfaction, and safety.
Activate new implementations/initiatives identified by store operations and remain informed of market changes and customer desires.
Participate in daily DSD execution, back‑room and sales‑floor excellence.
Monitor competitive trends and assess current competitors’ strengths and weaknesses.
Follow company merchandising planograms and use 85/15 to design plans, including ordering, weekly ad set/seasonal assortments, displays and pricing.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Lonely 5 + years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
4 + years of progressive leadership experience.
A passion for leading those in span of care while providing industry‑leading service.
Demonstrates proactive, creative thinking and applies it to the business.
A thorough understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and generate sales.
A strong business acumen.
An innovative attitude to help Meijer set the industry standard.
