Duties The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright-Patterson Space Force Base is searching for a Signatures Principal Intelligence Analyst to support the National Space Intelligence Center (GG-0132-14).

Description The mission of the National Space Intelligence Center's 1st Intelligence Analysis Squadron is to create actionable, foundational, scientific and technical intelligence on foreign space capabilities to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making. The Space Engineering Analysis Flight is looking for a Principal Intelligence Analyst to teach, lead, and oversee satellite RF, EO, and IR signatures analysis and modeling and production of satellite signature models.

Responsibilities Candidates should have experience with analysis of satellite systems and demonstrated leadership experience to train, lead, and oversee Satellite Signatures Analysts:

Researching and analyzing scientific and technical intelligence information on foreign satellites

Making technical, analytic assessments on designs of those satellites

Collaborating with others on analysis and assessments of foreign spacecraft

Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating signatures generated by signature models

Identifying information gaps on foreign satellites, submitting gaps, and driving intelligence collection

Providing scientific and technical information requested by customers

Providing advice to higher echelon and other government agencies

We desire a candidate who has demonstrated skills training, coaching, and mentoring junior analysts; engaging with customers; collaborating with partners; leading teams; managing intelligence analysis, production, and contract efforts/contractors; and innovating.

Ideal Candidate Experience with satellite RF, EO, and/or IR signatures analysis and/or modeling; demonstrated leadership experience; at least a bachelor's degree; and demonstrated skills training, coaching, and mentoring junior analysts; engaging with customers; collaborating with partners; leading teams; managing intelligence analysis, production, and contract efforts/contractors; and innovating.

Key Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices using multi-source intelligence information systems to obtain data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities, new hypotheses and theories, and threat assessments, with primarily specialized emphasis on satellite designs and EO, IR, and RF signatures of satellites.

Knowledge of the intelligence process of requirements, tasking, collection, reporting, analysis, evaluation, production, and dissemination; and knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.

Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analysis of complex information attained from multiple sources

Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint DoD structure, organizations and missions/functions, interrelationships and operations.

Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems and data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of customers, stakeholders, and Allied partners.

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both orally and in writing, in order to prepare satellite signatures, computer-aided design models, and finished intelligence reports, and to present briefings.

Requirements

Must be a U.S Citizen.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.

Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.

May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.

Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.

This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.

Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.

PCS / Relocation funding is authorized.

This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
