A hospital system in Staten Island, is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to become the Clinical Director of the site.
About the Opportunity: Assignment
Length : 4+ months Schedule:
24 hours per week (8 hour hour shifts) Hours:
8am to 5PM Responsibilities: Oversees daily operations of the employee health department to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
Develop, implement, and oversee Employee Health Services policies and procedures
Oversees mandatory health screenings and immunizations (e.g., TB testing, flu shots) and ensures compliance with hospital policies for pre-employment and annual health clearances
Provides departments and leadership updates on compliance for annual clearances, flu vaccination status, and fit-test for applicable staff
Stays informed on the latest healthcare trends to implement the best practices in employee health services.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to employee health, including OSHA, HIPAA, and others
Oversees the workers compensation claims process.
Supervises the clearance process for employees returning from medical leaves of absence
Qualifications: 5+ years of Clinical Nursing experience Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
NYS RN Licensure required.
Experience in Occupational Health and/or Employee Health in a Hospital and/or Healthcare setting
Desired Skills: Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health preferred. Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN), Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S), or similar credential
Certification in infection control (CIC) or other relevant fields Experience in a Leadership and/or Management role
