Job Title: Director of Behavioral Health Services Location: Lynchburg VA Reports To: Executive Director Position Summary
Envision Health Inc, Director of Behavioral Health Services, leads and oversee all aspects of our behavioral health programs in each location. This role ensures clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic program development while fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and person-centered care. Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of assigned Region: Including conducting interviews and coordinating with Senior staff. Implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state (DBHDS), and federal regulations. Supervise and support clinical supervisors, QMHP/QPPMH staff, promoting professional development and high standards of care. Manage regional, staffing plans, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability. Evaluate program performance and client outcomes through data analysis and quality assurance measures, reporting all findings to the VP of Clinical Affairs. Serve as the agency’s primary liaison with local CSBs, DBHDS, Medicaid, managed care organizations, and other behavioral health partners in your region. Ensure clinical documentation and billing practices meet Medicaid and other payer requirements. Participate in agency leadership meetings, strategic planning, and organizational development. Responsible for all ISP’s for your region. Ensuring all Supervisors complete Quarterly Reports in a timely manner, to ensure compliance with DBHDS and company requirements. Program Development in your area. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (Master/Doctrine preferred). – Registered as a QMHP-A Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in behavioral health services. In-depth knowledge of Virginia behavioral health regulations, Medicaid guidelines, and DBHDS standards. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrated success in program development, staff supervision, and managing multidisciplinary teams. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and quality assurance systems. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive services.
