Overview
As Senior Director of Imaging Operations, you will have a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of Imaging Services across our organization. This newly elevated role reflects the strategic importance of imaging within Legacy’s expanding healthcare system.Insummary, this is an exciting time to ensure our imaging capabilitiesremainstrong for today and the future.
Reporting to the SVP, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Administrator, you will provide operational leadership, set a strategic vision, and implement system-wide standards toenhance quality, accessibility, and efficiency.Your leadership will help modernize imaging services, expand patient access, and drive innovation throughout the hospital system.
In this influential position,it will be important topartner with medical staff, nursingleadership, managers, and department leaders to extend our reach in the community. You will also chair asystem-wide councilthatkeepsour imaging services at the forefront.
This position is based out of our System Office in Portland, Oregon, with frequent visits to our medical centers.
Responsibilities Strategic Planningand Business Development: Facilitatethe development and implementation of system-wide standards across imaging.Worksin conjunction withsystem-wide Directors of Imaging Services toprovide vision, leadership, organization, and direction tomanage and growtheImaging Operating Division.Collaborates with system leaders in Strategic Planning, Population Health, Information Services, and People and Culture.
Assistsin the strategic development of new clinical programs and the establishment of Imaging strategy and goals.
Manages the development of Imaging business plans and programs, including writing proposals, conducting analyses, and meeting and negotiating terms with executive administration.
Partners with physician leadership to achieve mutual goals for Imaging.
Develops and administers quality performance goals within our medical leadership contracts.
Continuously analyzes staffing, financing, operations, policies, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service line performance.
Develops/directs/monitors mechanisms to standardize supplies, equipment, and inventory andexploresopportunities to maximize the system's purchasing power.
Provides directmanagementthe Imaging Support Service Dept to includerecruitment, interviewing,selection, training, and evaluation of staff.Assesses technical and professional education needs of staff and develops or provides educational resources to meet those needs. Assigns workloads and monitors quantity and quality of work.
Partners witha People Strategy Partneron strategic workforce initiatives for the Imaging Operating Division to includedepartment/division design,recruitment strategies, talent planning, people analytics and pay practices.
Collaborate with Information Services on the development and implementation of digital and AI technologies within imaging services to advance patient care access and clinical quality.
Serves on servicelineand other committees asrequired.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldrequired.Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Previousbusiness/administration experiencerequired.
Minimum of six years progressively more responsible leadership experience within Imaging, including multi-hospital or integrated delivery system models with managed carerequired.
Skills:
Highly effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Comfort with conflict resolution and supporting priorities based on Legacy’s organizational culture and strategy.
Thorough understanding of current developments and trends in areas of responsibility as well as general healthcare management familiarity and competency with navigatingelectronic systems applicable to job functions.
Licensure
An active Medical Imaging License in applicable state or National Board Certification preferred.
