Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of the Operations team, the Senior Director of Manufacturing will provide leadership, direction and focus to ensure operational performance excellence for one or more of Laborie’s large/high growth and complex manufacturing facilities. This role is full time in office, based out of Salt Lake City, UT. About the Role:
Lead and develop a multi-function Plant leadership team, collaborating closely with matrix managers and enterprise leaders where appropriate to drive achievement of site safety, quality, on time delivery, revenue, cost improvement and associate engagement targets and initiatives. Manage subordinate managers who supervise employees in Production, Maintenance, Material and Production Planning, Continuous Improvement, and Engineering. Drive performance and accountability; measure and monitor business performance, leveraging KPIs/metrics. Champion Laborie’s Quality Policy; demonstrate a commitment to quality; ensure adherence to Quality System. Foster a continuous improvement culture, driving the development of innovative and effective cost improvement programs. Ensure customer service is met through schedule attainment and in compliance with all quality procedures. Lead new product introduction activities for the site including business, technical, and business process oversight. Develop annual financial plans, meet all budgetary requirements, and provide monthly updates including preparing justifications and plans for investments in training, staffing, and capital equipment. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering or similar technical discipline. Advanced degree (M.S, /M. B.A) preferred 10-15 years manufacturing operations experience preferably in a medical device, regulated, or technology-based manufacturing environment. Proven track record of P&L management and delivering continuous improvement results by championing lean manufacturing methodologies and building and engaging high performance teams. Strategic mindset: able to develop a vision and long-range plan for the facility while effectively driving execution with changing priorities. Capacity planning, supply chain and project management expertise Industry/medical and regulatory knowledge (i.e. FDA cGMP, ISO 13485-2003, 510k) Demonstrated results through building and sustaining Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement systems and cultures.
