The Executive Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all operations of the Center, which provides trauma-informed services and support to victims of mass violence. This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services through strong community partnerships, innovative programming, and strategic planning for sustainability. The Director provides vision, supervision, and coordination across all facets of the Center, working collaboratively with local, state, and federal partners, as well as the Center’s advisory board. Qualifications: Master’s degree in a human services field (Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or related discipline) strongly preferred. Independent clinical licensure in Rhode Island (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience providing trauma-focused, evidence-based treatment and/or victim advocacy services. Experience providing crisis intervention or Psychological First Aid strongly preferred. High level of administrative and leadership skills required. Proven leadership and program management skills, including supervision, strategic planning, and budgeting. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in electronic health records and related software applications. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay. Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay. Physical Requirements:
This position requires community engagement and travel. Employees must have the ability to: Maintain a valid driver’s license, registration, and auto insurance. Travel to clients’ residences, community locations, and office sites, including navigating stairs or elevators. Lift up to 20 lbs as needed. Communicate effectively in person and electronically.
