Obility
About Obility
Obility is where smart B2B marketing meets action. We help high-growth tech and B2B companies scale without wasting money or time on fluff. We love data, strategy, and tools that actually work, and we’re always testing the next thing that will give our clients an edge. If you like solving problems, learning fast, and getting results you can brag about, you’ll feel at home here.
The Role We’re looking for an SEO & GEO Manager to lead organic growth strategies that perform not just in traditional search, but across AI-powered discovery, including Google AI Overviews, generative search experiences, and large language models (LLMs).
Once fully trained, you’ll own strategy and execution for a portfolio of B2B clients, acting as a trusted advisor who can translate complex SEO, GEO, and AI concepts into clear, confident recommendations for marketing leaders and C-suite stakeholders.
This is a hands-on, growth-stage role for someone with a strong SEO foundation who understands that modern SEO isn’t just about rankings… it’s about visibility, authority, and influence across how buyers actually search today. You’re ready to level up: learning the Obility way, applying proven best practices, and staying curious by testing new tools, tactics, and approaches as search evolves in the AI era. We’re looking for someone with a strong analytics foundation (GA, GTM, GSC) who understands SEO best practices and is willing to learn and grow under guidance from our SEO & GEO Team.
What You’ll Do Strategy & Client Leadership
Own end-to-end SEO and GEO strategy for a handful of B2B clients, from research and roadmap to execution and reporting
Develop and present strategies that account for:
Traditional organic search
Google AI Overviews & evolving SERP layouts
LLM visibility and brand representation (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.)
On-site content updates to improve KPIs
Confidently present to senior marketing leaders and C-suite stakeholders, guiding prioritization and decision-making
Act as the primary SEO/GEO point of contact, building trust through clarity, rigor, and results
SEO, GEO & AI Execution
Complete keyword research, pillar and content collection strategies based on the client's goals, competitors, industry research, and how AI systems retrieve and synthesize information
Design content strategies built for humans and machines
Lead technical SEO initiatives, including crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, structured data, and performance
Monitor and analyze brand visibility across AI-generated answers, identifying opportunities to improve inclusion and accuracy
Data, Measurement & Reporting
Partner with internal teams to ensure analytics, tagging, and attribution are set up correctly and evolve with strategy
Own SEO and GEO measurement frameworks using GA4, Google Search Console, Looker, and emerging AI visibility tooling
Build quarterly reports that clearly communicate:
Performance and impact
What’s working, what’s not, and why
Clear next steps tied to business outcomes
Proactively surface opportunities, not just report on past performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
To start, you will work closely with Obility’s Strategy & Execution Director and Senior SEO Strategist to learn the Obility way and ensure adherence to our best practices and formats
Work closely with Content, Organic Social, Paid Media, Data Reporting, and Customer Success to ensure SEO and GEO are integrated into broader marketing programs
Thought Leadership & Growth
Stay ahead of SEO, GEO, AI Overview, and LLM trends—testing, validating, and documenting learnings
Support Obility’s growth by sharing case studies, thought leadership, and internal enablement with the sales team, via content creation, and on LinkedIn
What Success Looks Like By Day 30: You’ll complete Obility onboarding and training, and begin assisting on client projects with guidance from your SEO & GEO mentors.
By Day 60: You’ll have contributed to meaningful client initiatives, applying best practices and starting to make your own recommendations with oversight.
By Day 90-120: You’ll be confidently up and running at full capacity, supporting a full book of business independently with oversight from your manager and the strategy director.
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of progressive SEO experience, ideally in an agency focused on B2B or enterprise clients
Proven ability to build and execute long-term SEO strategies, not just audits or checklists
Strong technical SEO foundation
Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, SEOmonitor, Moz, and other emerging platforms focused on visibility and forecasting
Familiarity with GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio
Strong analytical skills and comfort turning data into clear recommendations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with senior stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment
Bonus Points
Experience optimizing content and brands for AI Overviews and LLM-driven discovery, including Reddit and content creation
Familiarity with content management systems, especially WordPress
Experience with B2B buyer journeys and complex sales funnels
Comfort experimenting with AI tools, workflows, and automation to improve efficiency and insight
This might not be the right role for you if:
You struggle to stay organized or manage multiple projects (note: we use Asana, and most accounts also have a CSM to help with project management)
You’re not excited by learning new skills, experimenting with tools, or trying new approaches
Adapting to new processes or ways of working feels frustrating instead of an opportunity
You’re hesitant to explore AI or other tools beyond the basics, or give up when things don’t work the first time
We’re looking for someone confident, curious, and ready to tackle challenges head-on, even if you haven’t seen it all before.
IMPORTANT No need for a long cover letter. Instead, send your resume along with a short paragraph that hits two things:
Your favorite AI or SEO tool, and how you’ve used it to drive real results for a client
A client win (big or small) that shows off your SEO & GEO chops. Think of it as your “show, don’t tell” moment—help us see how you think, execute, and get things done with data and storytelling.
Benefits for Team Members
25 paid days off in your first year and 9 paid holidays
Fully remote work policy, work from anywhere
4.5 Day work week
100% Employer-paid Health Insurance for employees
100% Employer-paid Life Insurance policy
3% employer contribution to 401(k) retirement plan
12-week paid family/parental leave
20 days paid sabbatical after 7 years
Regular virtual happy hours and game sessions to help you get to know your team members
Once or twice yearly, in-person, company-wide get-togethers
Fun and inclusive company culture that supports employee development and teamwork
Salary band: $65,000 - $85,000 USD. Final compensation offered is determined by your skills and experience.
