The Senior Director, Program Management, MedTech will be responsible for developing and deploying the strategy for programs, services, and technologies to be led by the THV GHER team in domestic and international arenas. The Sr. Director will oversee the team composition, role definition, recruiting, development, and retention of the Programs & Technologies team. The role will develop operating structures and implement project management principles which facilitate world‑class program execution. The role will partner with regional and functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for domestic and international health economics programs to drive value of the TAVR therapy and Edwards value proposition. The Sr. Director will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate execution and ensure program support.
Work Schedule: Given the collaborative and complex nature of this work, this role is in person full time in Irvine, CA.
How you’ll make an impact
Develop and deploy the strategy for the programs and technologies to be led by the THV GHER team in domestic and international arenas
Maintain the full portfolio of GHER‑led programs, inclusive of reach, program scope(s), program budgets, and impact scorecarding
Build and deploy program / project execution structure, tool sets, and guidelines to facilitate world class execution of initiatives by Programs & Technologies team; Identify success metrics for overall portfolio success
Oversee team composition, role definition, recruiting, development, and retention of the Programs & Technologies team, ensuring the team is sufficiently skilled and prepared to deploy projects and programs
Partner with regional and functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for domestic and international health economics programs to drive the value of the TAVR therapy and the Edwards value proposition
Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate execution and ensure support of programs / projects
Support / lead other or special project work as needed
What you'll need (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, health economics, health policy, or related field with 14+ years of experience in health economics, project / program management or related field OR Master’s degree with 12+ years of experience
7+ years’ leadership experience (including some project team leadership)
Demonstrated success in cross‑functional project management
Experience developing and deploying strategies at team level (at minimum)
Proven success in project management; participation in cross‑functional project teams
Previous experience in MedTech industry required; working knowledge of health policy, economics / reimbursement concepts preferred
Experience working with external stakeholders and customers (e.g., vendors, payers, hospitals, physicians, etc.), as well as internal cross‑functional teams and business units
Domestic and / or international travel up to 25%
