Electric Department Director — Greenwood CPW (Greenwood, SC)
Lead the team powering a vibrant community. Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works (CPW) seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to direct our Electric Department serving 12,500+ customers across six distribution substations and 24 circuits. What you’ll do:
Provide technical leadership on system improvements.
Analyze system performance and reliability.
Prepare and review engineering calculations.
Negotiate joint-use and related agreements.
Oversee two operational supervisors and two Field & SCADA Technicians.
Support company-wide communications systems.
Build strong cross-department and community relationships.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering; PE in South Carolina preferred.
5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in public utilities or a related field.
Proven administrative and technical leadership.
Strong grasp of electric power fundamentals.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
