Sonic Automotive
Audi West Houston, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking a Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to prospect, evaluate, and purchase used vehicles for resale.
Base Pay Range Performance-based earnings: $5,000 - $7,500+ per month.
Summary The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners to purchase their vehicles from multiple sources for resale.
Duties and Responsibilities
Call, follow up, and schedule appointments with customers to appraise and purchase used vehicles.
Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
Engage with current used vehicle owners during appointments and service drive to purchase their vehicles.
Approach, greet, and engage customers to appraise and make offers to purchase current vehicles.
Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.
Collaborate with Sales Managers to build and propose purchase offers.
Introduce guests to sales department to facilitate new vehicle sales after purchase of existing vehicle.
Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years
in automotive purchasing, acquisitions, and appraisals.
Strong ability to engage customers, build rapport, and address needs professionally.
Excellent verbal communication skills with persuasive and articulate demeanor over the phone.
Ability to persistently pursue leads while maintaining a positive attitude.
Comfortable using CRM software and productivity tools to manage leads and track progress.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Must be willing to undergo pre‑employment compliance requirements: drug testing, background check, MVR.
Compensation Performance-based earnings: $5,000 - $7,500+ per month.
Actual earnings depend on performance; high‑performing professionals often exceed this range.
