About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Experiential Learning to join its dynamic academic health center. The successful candidate will be a pivotal leader in simulation and experiential learning, responsible for the overall quality, strategy, and implementation of these programs across multiple learning sites. This role involves providing strategic leadership for experiential learning within undergraduate and graduate programs, overseeing operational and administrative functions, and ensuring the financial accountability of the experiential learning budget. The Executive Director will also be involved in student support, operations, and university, campus, and community relations, and will be expected to lead simulation-based research to demonstrate the impact of simulation on practice and patient outcomes.
Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a graduate degree in nursing and a terminal degree in a related field, with a current registered nurse license for the State of Oklahoma. A minimum of 2 years' of clinical practice experience, 2 years' of teaching experience in a school or college of nursing, and 2 years' of experience in healthcare simulation leadership are required. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to integrating the clinical mission in the academy, proven leadership skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative environment. Certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator is essential, and a record of scholarship and extramural funding is preferred. The role demands a flexible individual capable of responding to multiple demands and exercising professional judgment in academic affairs.
