. What your day in this role may involve:

Our North Charleston

Machine Assistant

positions provide essential support to Machine Operators and are fundamental in

ensuring finished product meets customer specs . These positions work on a production-rewind machine, palletizing (packing) industrial rolled-goods, customizing product in preparation for shipment

and providing a pivotal last-look in our quality-focused process.

Growth-training is provided

in preparation for transitioning to Machine Operator (which provides an increased wage). Team members are involved in daily manufacturing processes and successful outcomes for our facility and its customers. We're a small site, with a powerful and caring team. What makes a successful OC-Charleston team member: Must haves include... Work safely and follow all plant rules Be flexible, engaged and accountable Show initiative, be a self-starter and take ownership of assigned tasks High school diploma or GED At least 18 years old Experience with (and willingness to work) 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts Be able to: Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner Work independently, as well as part of a team Have shift flexibility Read/use a tape measure and perform basic math Past work experience with the following would also be terrific... Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting Warehouse environments that are NOT climate controlled Basic computer / keyboard skills There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to: Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 40-pounds) Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods Pass drug screenings (pre-hire and ongoing-random) Our people and products make the world a better place.
