Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is seeking Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) Presales Solution Consultant III to engage with customers to gather business and technical requirements, determine business needs and demonstrate appropriate software solutions covering the end-to-end manufacturing operations to support the lifecycle of Department of Defense (DoD) assets for applicable domains including operations and sustainment. As a strategic PreSales Consultant, you will be an instrumental member of our sales team, driving the adoption of Siemens' cutting-edge software solutions within the DoD and A&D OEMS. In this client-facing role, the mission is to establish yourself as a trusted technical advisor, demonstrating how our digital transformation portfolio can solve complex challenges and advance our clients' mission-critical objectives. You will lead the technical discovery process, engaging with customers to analyze their core business drivers and operational requirements. Leveraging this insight, you will architect innovative solutions using the power of our low-code Mendix platform and our Opcenter manufacturing suite. By translating complex needs into compelling value propositions, software demonstrations, and clear proposals, you will articulate why Siemens is the ideal partner for their digital journey. Responsibilities: Solution & Domain Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, with a focus on Mendix, Teamcenter, and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM). Articulate the value proposition and practical application of these solutions within the complex landscape of the Federal and Aerospace & Defense industry. Sales Process Collaboration: Partner closely with Account Executives and the extended sales team throughout the entire sales cycle. Support the technical discovery process to qualify opportunities and deeply understand our client's business challenges, technical requirements, and strategic objectives. Solution Demonstration & Validation: Develop and deliver compelling, value-based software demonstrations that directly address client needs. Support proof-of-concepts (POCs) and benchmarks to validate the proposed solution and prove its business value to key client stakeholders. Business Value Consulting: Support client-facing workshops and value assessment activities to document their "as-is" operational state and challenges. Architect a "to-be" vision that maps Siemens' solutions to tangible outcomes. Technical Proposal Development: Drive the development of the technical solution content for Requests for Information/Proposals (RFI/RFP). Ensure all submissions are high-quality, accurate, and effectively communicate the strengths of the Siemens offering. Industry & Event Engagement: Represent Siemens as a technical expert at industry trade shows, conferences, and marketing events. Deliver solution presentations, conduct demonstrations, and engage with prospective and current clients. Continuous Professional Development: Proactively maintain a deep functional knowledge of the Siemens software portfolio, the competitive landscape, and emerging trends within the Aerospace & Defense sector. Manage and prioritize PreSales activities for assigned opportunities with a high degree of autonomy. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent years of experience. A minimum of two years of professional experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software, specifically within a manufacturing context. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences, from technical experts to executive leadership. This is a remote role based in the United States, requiring the candidate to be located with convenient access to a major airport for domestic travel. Ability to travel up to 50% domestically to support client engagements, industry events, and internal meetings. Preferred Qualifications: Direct hands-on experience with the Siemens Opcenter portfolio (especially Opcenter Execution Discrete) or other enterprise-level MES solutions is highly desirable. Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role such as PreSales Consultant, Solutions Architect, or Implementation Consultant. Domain expertise within the Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Machinery, or other complex discrete manufacturing industries. Security Clearance: Candidate must be US citizen and have the ability to obtain and/or maintain a US federal agency security clearance.
