Overview Tesla is seeking an Associate Manager, Title Operations within the Used Car Operations business. This team is responsible for ensuring seamless title transfers for all acquired vehicles across North America.

In this role, you will play a lead role in shaping the used vehicle title and document processing operation across the North America market. You will be responsible for managing the "title factory," which intakes, processes, stores, and releases all vehicle titles acquired and sold by Tesla. This complex and multifaceted role requires exceptional executive-level communication skills, demonstrated leadership experience, strong business operations acumen, and a track record of success in leading high-impact teams.

What You'll Do

Manage, train, lead, and develop a team of Title Specialists to physically process all US trade-in, return, and captive lease return vehicle titles

Continuously refine document processes to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and daily output, with the goal of same-day processing for all documents

Proactively update team areas of responsibility (AORs) to ensure all tasks and responsibilities are clearly assigned and maintained

Develop extensive knowledge of all applicable regulations across North America to ensure compliance; proactively adapt operations to account for regulatory changes while meeting aggressive business goals

Identify and address systemic issues within the operational workflow; escalate critical opportunities or concerns; develop innovative solutions, lead implementation, measure success, and establish a cadence of continuous improvement

Uphold team and company standards while holding team members accountable to key performance indicators (KPIs)

Establish effective and collaborative communication channels with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external; cultivate and maintain strong partnerships to support cross-functional business objectives

What You'll Bring

Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience

Proven leadership and people management experience in large organizations, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals

Strong business acumen and a track record of optimizing operational and employee productivity

Dynamic and critical thinker with the ability to identify and resolve trends, issues, and blockers at various levels of the operation

Knowledge or expertise in DMV title transfer processes and business operations is required
