About the Role: As Director of Housekeeping, you will mentor our ambitious TEAM, ensuring outstanding guest service and cleanliness. You will be responsible for the hotel's Housekeeping operations and ensuring the housekeeping TEAM meets business needs and delivers outstanding service and performance.

Responsibilities: The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping department, ensuring smooth operations across all areas, including rooms, public spaces, laundry, and supplies. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and efficiency while upholding brand standards and ensuring guest satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, and team members.

Requirements:

Prior 3+ years’ experience in a brand or luxury brand hotel and 400+ rooms experience.

Experience with Lightspeed PMS.

Experience in Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt brands is preferred.

Prior work experience is required, and bilingualism (speaking both English and Spanish) is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Compensation: The anticipated compensation range for the position for applicants working in NYC is $ 80,000 (depending on the property) annually. The annual salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to years of experience in the job, years of experience in the required industry, education, and other relevant qualifications.
