More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives./ppThe Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. The Sales and Production Associate will maintain order and create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain customer relationships./ppResponsibilities:/pulliAssist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships./liliAssist, as required, with store operations./liliServe all customers in a courteous and efficient manner./liliHandle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy./liliHandle merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization./liliEnsure that store is sufficiently stocked and ragged out in accordance with the ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR./liliAssist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property./liliImmediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management./liliMaintain a clean and clutter free work area./liliBe well-versed in and comply with the Guide to Thrift Store

Donation Center Operations manual./liliThis position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor)./liliOther duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor, Store Supervisor, Assistant Store Supervisor, and/or Administrator./liliCashier/Sales Floor:/liulliComply with all cash handling and security standards as relates to cash register operations, daily sales reports and bank deposits./liliSort, price, stock and rag out showcase merchandise and other areas as directed./liliRestock fitting room merchandise back to racks in proper category and color code./liliMaintain merchandise displays as directed./liliAnswer telephone calls in an efficient, friendly, professional manner./li/ulliSorter:/liulliSort minimum of 300 store quality garments an hour by department./liliAssist moving the donations to the sorting table as needed./liliAssist with hanging merchandise as needed./liliAssist running clothing racks as needed./li/ulliHanger/Tagger:/liulliHang and ticket a minimum of 225 pieces per hour of clothing on rolling racks from sorting table by department on the correct hanger type, and by category in an 8 hour period./liliAssist moving the donations to the sorting table as needed./liliAssist sorting clothing as needed./liliAssist running clothing racks as needed./li/ulliPricer:/liulliPrice a minimum of 250 garments an hour using a wide range of prices determined by the style, quality and condition of each piece./liliAcquire and maintain knowledge of name brand merchandise and value./liliAssist moving the donations to the sorting table as needed./liliAssist ticketing merchandise as needed./liliAssist with running clothing racks as needed./li/ulliRunner:/liulliPlace a minimum of 225 garments an hour from the production room to the sales floor on the proper rack by department, category and color order./liliStraighten and maintain the clothing racks of the departments as assigned./liliRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar./liliAssist hanging merchandise as needed./li/ulliBric a Brac:/liulliSort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations daily./liliTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item./liliPlace and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner./liliRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar./li/ulliShoes/Accessories:/liulliSort and clean all saleable shoes, handbags and accessory donations daily./liliTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item./liliProcess to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour maintaining all merchandise in the required order and manner./liliRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar./li/ulliDomestics:/liulliSort and measure all saleable linen items daily as required./liliTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item./liliProcess to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour maintaining all merchandise in the required order and manner./liliRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar./li/ulliBooks/Records/Toys:/liulliSort and clean all saleable merchandise daily as required./liliTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item in accordance with established policies./liliPlace and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner./liliRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial Rag Out Calendar./li/ulliFurniture/Electrical:/liulliSort, clean and test all electrical and furniture donations as required./liliTicket all electrical merchandise using sold as is tickets and assign an individual fair market price for each item./liliComplete furniture tickets and record required information assigning a fair market price for each furniture item./liliPlace and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner./liliMark down furniture items on sales floor in accordance with policy./liliRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar./li/ulliDonations/Maintenance:/liulliMaintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, bathrooms, entry, windows, sidewalks and parking areas daily./liliAccept donations in accordance with standard policies while providing courteous, respectful service to the donor./liliAble to lift 100 pounds./liliReceive and receipt, as per policy, all donated material in a courteous and efficient manner./liliMaintain cleanliness of all donation facilities./liliSafeguard all donated materials and assigned equipment./liliEnsure a constant flow of donations to the sorting table throughout the day./liliAssist with ragging out the sales floor as assigned./liliBale ragouts and trash as required./liliPerform lawn and garden work as needed./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliAbility to speak and understand English for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries, and customers./liliExcellent customer service skills./liliAbility to understand and follow
