divh2Physical Therapist Assistant/h2pClark Fork Valley Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain movement, manage pain, and improve overall physical function./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliAdministers active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, myofascial mobilization, and various modality treatments including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, infrared, ultraviolet, hot/cold packs, and hydrotherapy./liliApplies traction techniques to help relieve neck and back pain./liliInstructs, motivates, and assists patients in functional mobility activities, including ambulation, transfers, and daily living tasks./liliObserves and monitors patients during treatment sessions, compiling and evaluating progress data to report to the Physical Therapist./liliFits and trains patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prosthetics, and mobility aids (e.g., crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs)./liliCollaborates with the PT team and other healthcare professionals to plan and coordinate patient care./liliAssists with onboarding and mentoring new PTAs and provides guidance to Physical Therapy Aides./liliPerforms routine clerical tasks including inventory management, supply ordering, answering phones, and completing required documentation./liliMeasures and records range of motion, strength, limb measurements, and vital signs to assess treatment effectiveness./liliAccurately documents all patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) system per department standards./liliEnsures all patients are re-evaluated by the supervising Physical Therapist according to Montana state laws, APTA guidelines, and hospital policy./liliEducates patients, families, and caregivers on prescribed home exercise programs to support continued recovery./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/ppThe PTA must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and be currently licensed by Montana State Board of PT Examiners.
