This includes physical buildings, grounds, and critical systems such as mechanical, electrical, and HVAC. As a management position, the role is responsible for assisting with budget management, capital projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation to maintain the propertys high standards of safety, comfort, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities:/h3ullistrongStrategic Planning:/strong Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with company objectives, contributing engineering insights and analysis to inform strategic direction./lilistrongOperational Excellence:/strong Establish and monitor engineering operational strategies by evaluating industry trends, setting performance standards, and designing systems to support efficiency and quality./lilistrongResource Management:/strong Determine, plan, and oversee strategies for production, productivity, quality, and customer service to optimize operations and guest experience./lilistrongFinancial Oversight:/strong Develop and manage engineering budgets by estimating costs, forecasting future needs, analyzing financial data, and aligning resources with strategic goals./lilistrongBest Practices Implementation:/strong Establish policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure efficient operations and compliance with industry standards and regulations./lilistrongProject Management:/strong Lead engineering projects by conducting feasibility assessments, defining resource requirements, analyzing technology options, and ensuring projects meet budgetary constraints./lilistrongUtility Management:/strong Ensure uninterrupted operation of utilities through effective provision and backup systems./lilistrongTechnical Analysis:/strong Provide actionable insights by analyzing operational issues, gathering technical data, and summarizing trends to drive informed decision-making./lilistrongContinuous Learning:/strong Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and industry codes; engage in professional development through networking and training opportunities./lilistrongTeam Leadership:/strong Oversee engineering team by setting clear values and policies, conducting recruitment and training, providing coaching and performance feedback, and ensuring high performance across the team./li/ulh3Basic Qualifications
Skills:/h3ulliBachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in hotels or resorts/liliPlumbing License, Certified Pool
Spa (CPO) License, Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Certification/liliMinimum of 2 years managing multiple technical teams on engineering projects/liliAt least 1 year of senior management experience/liliProficiency in engineering design and project management/li/ulh3Desired Qualifications
Traits:/h3ulliPrevious leadership experience within a resort or hotel setting/liliStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including ergonomics, emergency response, injury prevention, and hazard communication programs/liliAbility to develop, implement, and monitor programs that ensure safety and regulatory compliance/li/ul/div
