divh2Director Of Life Enrichment/h2pThe Director of Life Enrichment develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive activities program designed to meet the social, spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of our residents. He or she plans and coordinates resident and family events, outings, games, and exercises and arranges for a variety of outside vendors and volunteers to visit the residents. In addition, the Director of Life Enrichment oversees all activities to ensure residents participate safely and recruits/supervises the Life Enrichment staff and any volunteers to permit all residents to thrive within community./ppPrimary Duties

Responsibilities:/pulliPromote to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents/liliOversees the management and daily operations of the activities department/liliImplements and manages comprehensive activities programs for the residents/liliEnsures that each residents interests are assessed and that a plan of activities is developed and reassessed on a routine basis./liliManages the department budget/liliTrains and monitors volunteers/liliMaintains equipment and the activities room or common area in compliance with standards/liliCommunicates with residents and families regarding participation in and satisfaction with programs/liliPerforms other duties as assigned/li/ulpQualifications

Physical Requirements:/pulliStrong interpersonal, leadership, motivational, and organizational skills/liliAble to communicate well, both verbally and in writing/liliSelf-starter; able to carry out diverse duties with minimal supervision/liliEnjoys thinking of new ideas; is creative and resourceful/liliStrong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite/liliKnowledge of local state and federal regulations pertaining to resident care and services/liliExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress/liliAble to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed/liliAble to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays/li/ulpEducation

Experience:/pulliHigh school diploma or GED equivalent/liliManagement or supervisory experience/liliOne year of experience planning social and recreational programs, preferably within an assisted living or long-term care facility/liliAn Activity Director Provisionally Certified (ADPC) or Activity Director Certified (ADC) credential highly preferred/liliUnrestricted drivers license and clean driving record/li/ulpThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
