The Director of Perioperative Services is responsible for coordinating and supervising the nursing care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures, providing clinical and administrative leadership. Responsibilities include accountability for the leadership and long-term planning of the patient care area, implementation of the nursing process, staff development, and enhancement of the quality of patient care specific to the age/development of the patient population and cost containment.
