Responsibilities

Support the department in implementing quality initiatives including maintenance of clinical registries and monitoring of quality and outcome measures. Work with leadership and medical providers to address quality or safety deficits. Assist in the development and oversight of clinical medical staff credentials, competencies, and performance remediation. Participate in the hiring and disciplinary process as appropriate. Develop and monitor quality assurance programs and initiatives to facilitate performance improvements in line with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements for PCMH level 3 certification. Oversight of Patient Satisfaction data and collaboration with vendors to improve strategies. Develop strategic and tactical plans for short and long-term business planning with accountability for objectives. Assist in designing and implementing information systems to support business plans. Initiate health status evaluations, clinical pathways, and screening tools for high-risk patients. Evaluate the effectiveness of the DFM Patient Advocate and Peer Review Programs and report findings to leadership. Guide the development and implementation of a population healthcare plan and training programs for chronic disease management. Maintain professional relationships with faculty, residents, and specialty colleagues to improve quality metrics and customer service. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Oversee the training and orientation of clinical support staff. Maintain a clinical practice alongside supervisory duties. Qualifications

Family Medicine Board Certified. Must hold or be eligible for a State of Alabama medical license.
