EntryLevel Insurance Sales Agent

Busy South Asheville Insurance Agency in need of an agent, experienced agent preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate, as long as the candidate is willing to obtain an insurance license. Must be self‑motivated, eager to learn, and take instruction well. Job responsibilities include servicing existing clients and writing new business. We write vehicle, home, and business insurance. No cold calling required. No college degree required, but showing up on time every day is essential. We have a relaxed and casual work environment, and have been established in the community for over 30 years. We’re open from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, no weekend work required. If you are tired of dead‑end jobs with terrible hours and want to have an established career, we’d love to hear from you. If you are just starting out, we’d love to train you.

Responsibilities

Answering the phone in a professional manner

Waiting on clients who visit our office

Servicing existing clients

Writing new business

Helping clients obtain proper coverage for their needs

Qualifications

CSR skills with experience in interpersonal relationships

We treat clients like family, and they expect our staff to be warm and friendly

You must be eager to learn and take training instructions.

If you pick up on things easily, you shouldn’t have any trouble learning the insurance company websites at all

You have to be self‑motivated and a self‑starter

Compensation Compensation:

$30,000 to $50,000 depending on experience
