Base pay range: $35.00/hr - $38.00/hr.
Job Position: Director of Rehabilitation (PT, PTA, SLP, OT, or COTA) for an In‑house Skilled Nursing Facility.
Job Summary: Is responsible for all aspects of therapy operations at the facility in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices of the company under the direction of the Regional Director of Operations.
Responsibilities of the Director of Rehabilitation
Help provide the best possible therapy services to patients consistent with established standards of practice and company and department procedures.
Oversee and manage all aspects of the therapy program in assigned facility/facilities.
Adhere to all regulatory requirements, company policies, procedures, processes and guidelines, job description, certification requirements, HIPAA, confidentiality standards and resident rights.
Establish facility‑specific procedures in collaboration with the facility interdisciplinary team, and train all therapy staff on established procedures.
Ensure all therapists provide services in accordance with regulatory requirements, established standards of practice, company policies and procedures, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
Ensure all therapists adhere to regulatory requirements and company procedures regarding documentation and billing of therapy services.
Communicate and interact professionally and respectfully with patients and family members in attending to and meeting their requests.
Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the position and are in the best interests of the organization.
Education & Requirements
Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology.
Must have active (PT, PTA, OT, OTA, or SLP) license in state(s) of practice.
Maintain ongoing continuing education and professional development to keep licensure and certification current.
Experience with PDPM and MDS management preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal leadership and communication skills.
Results‑oriented with strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
