Job Description:
Responsibilities Planning weekly 10am worship service Choosing hymns and songs that engage the congregation and support the reading and preaching of God’s word Modeling and leading heartfelt worship in an invitational style that: draws people in, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus Recruiting, auditioning, teaching and training musicians and vocalists in an effort to serve the church with both musical skill and humility Leading weekly rehearsals that serve a dual purpose: a) preparation for Sunday, and b) cultivates a Christ-centered community Building on Redeemer’s traditions and having a vision for where God might be calling our congregation and our musicians to grow in new expressions of worship Serving as a member of the ministry team at Redeemer and thus demonstrating a commitment to the congregation and its mission Oversee A/V team production and volunteers Position Qualifications:
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Expected to be gifted in leading congregational worship, possess leadership and administrative skills, and serve as a team player Minimum 1 year experience leading worship in a similar church environment Significant skill as a vocalist and instrumentalist (piano/guitar) Broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple styles and generational tastes Application Deadline
