Kleiman Evangelista is looking for a full time Ophthalmic Scribe at our Clinic, and we are willing to train!

What you will do
Document physician documentation in EMR
Medically assist the doctor through the patient examination
Document any procedures that may be performed by the physician or ophthalmic medical personnel
Transcribe the history, examination, impression, plan, results of tests, prescriptions, and orders
E-prescribe medications in EMR
Measure pupil size and reactivity
Corneal topography
Fundus Photos
Retinal nerve fiber layer measurement
Retinal thickness and topography
Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures and triage phone calls
Prepare examination rooms to provide all needed medications, forms, educational materials, etc.
Coordinate surgical needs with the surgical counselors
Coordinate with check-in and check-out staff regarding patients
Create and provide a positive, accountable, and inspired work environment
What we require
One year of ophthalmic scribe/technician experience in ophthalmology setting (or equivalent related ability) preferred
COT or COA certification and Ophthalmology knowledge or Medical/ Ophthalmic Scribe experience desired
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in EMR and computer literacy
Well organized and attentive to detail
