Salary Range $80k - $90k DOE plus commission/incentive. The Director of Racquet Sports, provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all racquet programming, including Tennis and Pickleball, and innovative new offerings to drive participation and retention across all skill levels. This role is responsible for member and guest satisfaction, financial planning, staff leadership and exceptional guest and experiences across private membership, resort guest, and corporate group stays.
Essential Functions
Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must align with Peregrine Hospitality TBO Strategy and focus on recruiting and retaining top talent. Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Ensure proper inspection of the courts/facilities on a daily basis prior to the start of play and ascertain that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order. Recruit, train, schedule, and develop teaching professionals, attendants and seasonal staff. Maintain compliance with Silverado Resort policies, standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operation of the resort. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. Programming and Player Development
Design and execute a comprehensive calendar of events including: Promote tennis and pickleball clinics, private lessons, adult, junior and senior programs USTA Leagues and local team tennis and pickleball activities Tournaments (club championships, invitationals, charity and seasonal events) Manage pickleball and tennis round robins, ladders, and social play Junior development, adult clinics, and camps Ensure programming appeals to members, resort guests, and visiting corporate groups Collaborate with Sales & Events teams to support group stays, retreats and buyouts Innovate new offerings to drive participation and retention across all skill levels Payroll and labor management Lesson revenue and program profitability Establish and Monitor KPI’s Forecast, budget and create a strategic growth plan Maximize revenue through private lessons, clinics, camps, leagues and special events Member & Guest Relations
Serve as a visible, engaged leader for the racquet community Foster strong relationships with members, guests and league participants Address feedback and resolve concerns professionally and proactively Partner with Membership and Marketing teams on communication, promotion and engagement strategies. Compliance & Administration
Ensure compliance with USTA regulations and club policies Oversee court reservations, lesson scheduling systems, and POS reporting Maintain accurate records, waivers, certifications, and staff credentials Core Competencies

3+ years as Head Raquet Sport Professional/ Director of Racquet Sports or equivalent. Extensive private club experience preferred. Experience is creating engaging tennis and pickleball activities for the guests and members. CPR & First Aid Certifications are required. Teaching Certification (USPTR, PTR, or equivalent) preferred Proven experience managing payroll, budgets, and revenue targets Strong knowledge of tennis and pickleball programming Work Conditions and Schedule
Flexible and long hours sometimes required, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Medium work - Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed. Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures, including temperatures above 100° F. Physical exertion (jogging, running, bending, twisting).
