Job description
Act as a liaison between Infinity Management and the facility Business Office Manager (BOM). Provide training and support to BOM and any other facility staff involved with the Accounts Receivable process. Primary focus is on Medicaid process, as well as preventing, identifying and resolving barriers to Infinity Management’s goal of 100% collections.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support current facilities
Assess and train facility staff on duties related to A/R to facilitate Infinity’s successful billing operations
Provide re-training and guidance for existing facility staff when needed
Provide training for new hires with duties related to A/R within the Infinity Management scope (i.e. Medicaid application/eligibility process from start to finish; Medicaid Redetermination process, collection issues, etc.)
Provide back-up to facilities when needed
Facilitate or assist with Medicaid Pending application and Re-Determination process
Obtain asset and income information
Validate resident eligibility
Follow through on application and Re-Determination process until approval or continued coverage is obtained
Facilitate communication between facility staff and Infinity AR staff
Facilitate an open line of communication between the Infinity’s A/R Analyst and facility staff
Coordinate collection of patient liability due to facility
Coordinate weekly meetings with BOM and A/R Analyst to ensure continuous follow up with Social Security Office, Medicaid Office, family or resident
Monitor BOM billing to identify missed/inaccurate
Investigate and resolve any uncollectible monies
Address facility staff concerns with Infinity Management staff and support resolution
Address Infinity Management staff concerns with facility staff and support resolution
Review aging reports to monitor activity
Maintain office system to support tracking of efforts (documentation of progress)
Prepare agings to keep Director of A/R, Regionals and CFO informed of outstanding Private pay and Patient Liability
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS A successful individual in this role will;
Possess a minimum of one (3) years of Business Office, Medicaid Planning, Admissions, or other related experience in a long term setting
Specific Requirements
Display professionalism both in appearance and attitude
Possess the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions when necessary
Possess the ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports
Possess the ability to deal tactfully wit personnel, residents, family members, government agency personnel and with the general public
Possess willingness and capability to handle difficult people
Possess the ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
Possess patience, tact, a positive and enthusiasm
Possess knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Possess the ability to solve problems and rapidly learn new processes
Provide weekly schedule to A/R Director and to CFO by 9 am Monday
Provide daily visit report to A/R Director and to CFO by end of each business day of the facility visited
Provide pending report to A/R Director and to CFO by the end of Friday’s business day
Complete projects by due date provided
