Job Summary and Responsibilities Under general supervision, the Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. In collaboration with patients, patients’ families, and other members of the health‑care team, the clinical RN assesses the nursing care needs of patients, plans interventions, and evaluates outcomes of care. The RN provides direct care and/or supervises nursing care of non‑licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities include:
Providing care consistent with Nursing Department policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Delivering care appropriate to the age‑specific (infant, adolescent, adult) development and safety needs of the assigned patient population.
Performing charge nurse duties, including patient assignments, supervising staff, and directing unit activities for the assigned shift.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN required within 24 months of hire if hired after 6/1/12.
Child‑care experience (Couplet Care) required.
Current RN license in the State of Texas or a Texas compact license.
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider card.
NRP certification required within 3 months of hire if hired after 1/1/21.
STABLE certification required within 18 months of hire; renewal not required.
Location and Compensation Dallas, TX – Salary range: $80,168.00 – $141,371.00.
