Do you love the water? Are you 15 or older and looking for a rewarding job? The City of Grandview is hiring lifeguards for our award-winning community center, The View. With a schedule of 20 to 29 hours per week, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in our indoor pool and splash park.
Must be able to pass the American Red Cross Swim Test.
No certification? No problem! We provide lifeguard certification training for the right candidates.
Job Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)
Maintain high alertness to ensure safety
Participate in ongoing training, including operational mannequin drops, pool safety checks, and CPR checks
Enforce pool rules to ensure the safety of all participants
Keep the pool deck clutter-free and perform maintenance duties
Handle opening and closing procedures
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 15 years old or older
Available shifts include Monday through Friday 6:50am – 9:00pm , Saturday 8:30am – 8:00pm and Sunday 10:30am – 6:00pm ( We will work with students to arrange the schedules around school and sports when possible )
Must be able to pass the American Red Cross Swim Test (continuous 300-yard swim using only front stroke and breast stroke, two minutes treading water with not using hands, and a timed brick retrieval test)
Must be able to work some holidays and rotate weekend shifts
Reliable transportation is required.
Pay $15.00 per hour and certification training is paid!
