Porter As a Porter at SpaceX, you will be interacting with our guests (employees), fellow staff members, and management staff in our private restaurant in a polite, courteous manner. You will also help with restocking supplies and other duties assigned by kitchen management.
Responsibilities
Support daily operational logistics including delivery receiving, restocking, and internal distribution of supplies
Conduct daily checks of water jug stations, soda bibs, and CO² systems to maintain uptime and service reliability
Fulfill and deliver requisitions accurately, ensuring communication and documentation via internal systems and team channels
Assist with weekly inventory counts and ordering cycles to support production and service schedules
Verify product quality, expiration, and invoice accuracy during receiving; escape discrepancies as needed
Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently once trained
Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage and staging areas
Collaborate cross‑functionally with culinary, café, and facilities teams to anticipate needs and prevent shortages
Support special projects or operational setups as assigned by site leadership
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
1+ years of either restaurant experience, warehouse experience, and/or customer service experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
Inventory experience
Self‑motivated and works well with others
Current and valid food handler card or equivalent
Additional Requirements
Ability to carry large heavy items unassisted such as large packages, dishes in tubs, or trays (up to 45 lbs.)
Ability to stand for long periods of time – up to 8-10 hours a day
Willingness to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects
