Summary FLOOR360 has an excellent opportunity for an in-house carpet installer. Previous experience as a carpet installer is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
Responsibilities
Ensure on-time and accurate completion of residential installation projects of all sizes.
Install a variety of flooring materials (poly, nylon, wool carpeting) based on specifications.
Demolish and remove existing flooring.
Transport materials and equipment and clean and prepare floor surfaces.
Work in a two-person team.
Adhere to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Previous carpet, hard surface, or tile installation experience is preferred but not required.
Experience in carpet installation or carpentry.
Power stretching and seaming.
Laying tack strip and pad.
Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize daily tasks and adhere to strict schedule deadlines.
Teamwork and self-starter.
Experience with wool carpet is a plus.
Education & Licenses
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Background check and drug test required.
Physical Demands Candidates must have full range of bodily motion including standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, typing, grasping, climbing, descending stairs and trucks. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and use appropriate lifts and equipment.
