About the Role The Marketing Technology ROI Manager is a highly analytical and operationally‑minded individual contributor responsible for driving financial accountability, performance transparency, and operational rigor across Confluent’s marketing ecosystem. You will build scalable frameworks that measure how we evaluate, measure, procure, and renew our Martech stack ensuring our technology investments are aligned to value, outcomes, and strategic business priorities.

You will collaborate closely with Marketing Ops Systems, Procurement, Finance, and Insights partners to ensure we are investing wisely, governing properly, and maximizing efficiency across the full marketing technology lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured evaluation, operational discipline, and data‑driven decision making.

What You Will Do

Manage the budget lifecycle process for the MarTech stack - including forecast planning, tool renewals, and alignment with Procurement, Legal, Finance, InfoSec, and Marketing partner teams

Build measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting for Martech ROI utilizing system usage to performance benchmarks and cost-to-value scoring models

Own the creation of documentation in collaboration with lead system owners for the lead management process and enablement with stakeholders

Develop and lead a formal governance structure for Martech procurement, intake, onboarding, deployment, and deprecation

Partner with Insights & Analytics to define measurable success criteria, operational KPIs, and performance tracking for key Martech systems and lead workflows

Create documentation and repeatable processes that standardize how we evaluate new tools, renew existing investments, and retire under‑performing platforms

Collaborate with product champions to identify redundancy, optimization opportunities, license efficiency improvements, and workflow consolidation

Partner with leadership to ensure marketing systems investment decisions align with broader business strategy, platform architecture, and long‑term roadmap

Track and communicate system health, outcome contribution, ROI trends, and investment performance to stakeholders

What You Will Bring

5+ years experience in a marketing operations, revenue operations, Martech management, procurement management, or analytics roles with exposure to budgeting and Martech

Experience managing Martech portfolios and/or working with systems such as Marketo, Salesforce, LeanData, ZoomInfo, or similar

Strong financial and analytical acumen - including experience with forecasting and ROI analysis

Experience building dashboards or reporting methodologies using BI or analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus!

Strong program management skills and experience operationalizing governance frameworks

Ability to interpret data and communicate recommendations clearly to cross‑functional and executive audiences

Demonstrated experience improving operational processes, reducing inefficiency, or optimizing cost structures across teams or platforms

Strong cross‑functional partnership mindset

Bachelors in Marketing, Operations, or comparable experience

Strong team player with a positive attitude. A self‑starter with a mindset to investigate solutions and to optimize and improve our systems processes through measurable outcomes
