Energy Recruiters has been engaged to supporta vibrant, expanding petroleum marketerin their search for a Director of Finance.This leadership role willsupport our team of accounting professionals and is vital to our long-term success. This position will report to the CFO and will manage all aspects of financial reporting, board reporting, accounting compliance, budgeting, and annual audit. The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing financial records, financial consolidations, managing audits, and have exemplary technical accounting skills.

Responsibilities
Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives. Will lead the development of accounting staff to ensure the department is well positioned to handle growth.
Responsible for the consolidation of financial statements for all entities and divisions.
Research technical accounting issues and regulations to ensure compliance.
Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controls.
Manage and mentor accounting personnel, fostering a workplace environment conducive to growth and learning.
Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department leadership on financial issues impacting department budgets.
Will lead the annual budgeting process and work with division Vice Presidents and their leadership to deliver a comprehensive consolidated budget.
Ensure the accounting department is managed to highest standards and passes audit with no material deficiencies
Works with outside accounting and tax professionals to ensure timely completion of annual audit, consolidated financial statements, and tax filings.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
7-10 years of related work experience with a strong preference for individuals with public accounting experience.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are followed.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficiency with computers. Experience with Great Plains, PDI or other financial systems.
