Industry:
Fintech / Retirement Infrastructure
Compensation:
$80,000 base; 50/50 split; uncapped variable compensation
About the Company
Our partner is a fast-growing Series A fintech startup backed by top-tier investors and operating in one of the largest and least-innovated segments of the U.S. retirement market. They are building a modern, flexible 401(k) platform designed to transform a $12T+ industry that has seen little innovation in decades. The company is scaling rapidly—doubling month-over-month—and is expanding its go-to-market team to meet accelerating demand.
The Opportunity
As a
Growth Associate , you'll step into a high-velocity GTM team with a uniquely accelerated path toward closing work. This role blends outbound development, strategic account research, and hands-on deal engagement. The team runs a structured quarterly ABM motion: month one focuses on targeted prospecting and qualification, month two shifts into closing support or direct closing (depending on deal size), and month three drives pipeline advancement and completion.
You'll collaborate closely with sales leadership in a highly data-driven, autonomy-first culture. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and want a role where you can grow into an AE-level closing position quickly, this is an exceptional opportunity to do meaningful work in a massive category with enormous upside.
Responsibilities
Execute outbound prospecting across a curated quarterly target list within a defined ABM framework
Research and map complex prospect organizations, identifying key stakeholders across finance, HR, and benefits functions
Qualify inbound and outbound leads via calls, emails, and multi-channel outreach
Initiate deal motions and partner with senior sales leaders on closing strategies
Own smaller deals end-to-end while contributing to enterprise sales cycles as needed
Maintain accurate pipeline, activity metrics, and CRM hygiene
Collaborate with GTM leadership to refine messaging, outreach strategies, and account plans
Contribute to a performance-oriented, highly collaborative team culture
Requirements
Prior experience in an SDR, BDR, or similar sales development role (required)
Experience selling into finance or HR buyers — or background in financial services (preferred)
Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Comfort with complex, multi-threaded sales motions beyond simple transaction cycles
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to speak to metrics and performance data
High professionalism and integrity, with interest in selling a mission-driven financial product
Willingness to work primarily onsite, with extended hours during month/quarter end
Desire to grow into expanded responsibilities, including closing roles
