University Advancement Job Details
Location: Macon, GA 31207. This role is located in the General University division. We are seeking a highly organized and responsible Senior Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Senior Vice President for University Advancement. This position offers self‑motivated and trustworthy individuals the chance to deliver excellence and ensure seamless operations at the executive level. Responsibilities
Provide high‑level administrative and financial support for University Advancement under indirect supervision. Manage and audit departmental budgets and revenue accounts, oversee business transactions, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Serve as Executive Support to the Senior Vice President (SVP) and supervise designated staff. Coordinate procurement and vendor relations. Act as Building Steward for Mercer Landing and support special events as assigned. Qualifications
A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and at least one year of progressively responsible administrative support experience. Equivalent combination of education and directly related experience considered. Prior experience with Workday and/or accounting/budgeting experience highly desired. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Comprehensive understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, auditing, and compliance. Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and procurement processes. Familiarity with executive support best practices. Understanding of event coordination and facility management. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn enterprise systems such as Workday. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Analytical skills for reviewing budgets and identifying discrepancies. Problem‑solving skills to address scheduling conflicts and operational issues. Ability to deliver excellent customer service while communicating with vendors and stakeholders. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Ability to review and question expenses to ensure compliance. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Ability to supervise and mentor staff effectively. Ability to collaborate across departments and build positive relationships. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment. Background Check Contingencies
