Critical Power & Data Center Sales Engineer
Location: Austin, TX – Remote – Up to 40% travel
Base pay: $150,000 – $200,000 per year
Commission available.
What You Will Own & Drive
Lead the strategy to integrate our solutions (e.g., IIoT monitoring, safety ports) into infrastructure like
PDUs, switchgear, and MCCs
across major operators, including
hyperscalers, colocation providers, and OEMs.
Cultivate deep, trusted relationships with
specifying engineers, EPCs, integrators, and key data center operators
(think Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Google).
Lead customer discovery, deliver compelling technical demos, and articulate clear
ROI presentations
to secure adoption.
Act as the
voice of the customer , providing critical field feedback to Product Management to guide the roadmap for data center applications.
Technical Expertise & Sales Enablement
Serve as the
primary technical expert
for electrical safety and condition‑based monitoring solutions during the sales cycle.
Translate complex technical requirements into practical
system configurations, application drawings, and integration specifications.
Support the creation of key
reference architectures
for power distribution equipment (PDUs, RPPs, switchgear).
Collaborate closely with channel partners, distributors, and rep firms to
drive project specifications and close significant opportunities.
Lead training, joint customer calls, and support system integrators and OEM partners.
What You’ll Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
Experience:
3–8 years in a
technical sales, application engineering, or field engineering
role focused on data centers, power distribution, or industrial automation.
Technical Foundation:
Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology,
or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Critical Power Mastery:
Deep knowledge of
switchgear, PDUs, MCCs, and electrical safety standards
(NFPA 70E/70B, UL, NEC).
Data Center Focus (Preferred):
Experience working directly with
hyperscale or colocation
data center environments.
Communication:
Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to
bridge complex engineering requirements with clear business value.
Travel:
Willingness to travel
up to 40%
to meet customers and support partners.
