Liability Associate Paralegal – Las Vegas, NV

This position performs a variety of routine paralegal duties and legal administrative duties for assigned attorneys, many of which are unique to a legal environment and require a working knowledge of legal concepts, terminology, and processes.
Compensation Overview Annual base salary range:
$60,800.00 – $100,300.00 . Salary is determined by scope, complexity, location, skills, education, and experience. Employees are also eligible for performance‑based cash incentive awards.
What Is the Opportunity? Support attorneys in case preparation and file management for standard matters, including preliminary legal research, drafting routine documents, and reviewing relevant documents.
What Will You Do?
Compile and/or draft legal documents for review and use by attorneys
Prepare initial pleadings and filings
Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence
Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation
Subpoena records
Conduct preliminary legal research as necessary
Assist attorney in trial as needed
Capture time and record billable time in accordance with policies and procedures
Review incoming mail to determine urgency and draft correspondence and email
Act as liaison with experts and witnesses for scheduling/coordinating appearances and depositions, including documentation retrieval
Schedule and coordinate depositions, medical examinations, and other court‑designated hearings; retain court reporters and interpreters if necessary
Maintain attorney calendar and diary; proactively manage upcoming events and deadlines
Enter and maintain information in the case management system, ensuring data integrity
Assist with projects as requested
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
1 year experience as a paralegal or related work experience; or a Bachelor’s degree; or a Paralegal Certification from an ABA‑Certified program
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF software
Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Advanced writing and grammar skills
Basic research and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to identify urgency and prioritize tasks accordingly
Proficiency in a case management system and other software applications
Ability to learn proprietary software systems
Advanced interpersonal skills to communicate with court personnel, attorneys, clients, witnesses, and vendors
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Paralegal or litigation/claim experience
Insurance‑related experience
Basic knowledge of general law office procedures and local court/jurisdiction rules
Paralegal Certification from an ABA‑Certified program
