Director of Curriculum (P-12) (Tenure Track Position)
Anticipated Opening - Director of Curriculum (P-12) (Tenure Track Position)
Effective Date: July 1, 2026
Compensation: As per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the District and the Council of Elwood Administrators
Responsibilities
Plan and supervise curriculum writing and revisions in collaboration with principals and curriculum administrators.
Assist in the administration and supervision of instructional programs and activities district-wide.
Oversee the District's P-12 curriculum programs in ELA, Social Studies, Math, Science, Technology, CTE, Arts, AIS, and ENL, with an emphasis on both ELA and Math & Science standards.
Provide teachers with continuous professional development in areas such as Next Generation Standards, literacy across content areas, data-informed instruction, and curriculum & pedagogy.
Assist the principals in the administration of the District's Teacher Evaluation Plan; assist in the administration and supervision of assessment programs such as iReady & APPR; manage the Frontline system for the APPR plan.
Facilitate and support the management and use of Federal Grants; assume specific responsibility for those programs and activities assigned by the Assistant Superintendent.
Qualifications
New York State District Administrative certification is required.
At least 5 years of teaching experience is required; administrative experience is preferred.
Well versed in all aspects of curriculum and instruction across the P-12 continuum.
Background and experience in differentiated instruction or related work; background in reading development is preferred.
