Job Summary
The Veterinary Division at Blue Buffalo is seeking a full-time Veterinary Clinic Specialist (VCS) to work in the NY/NJ/CT/MA territory. The VCS will develop direct partnerships with local veterinary clinics to introduce Blue Buffalo’s Natural Veterinary Diet and premium OTC dog and cat product lines. The VCS will build brand recommendation and increase distribution points within veterinary clinics. Key Accountabilities
Engage, educate, and develop ongoing relationships with local area veterinary clinics to gain recommendations and sales for Blue products via in‑clinic presentations, creative account‑specific strategies, and targeted promotional and educational programs. Achieve business targets through daily calls/outreaches, staying current on competitor products, and performing administrative duties. Travel locally or nationally as required, including overnight travel 30‑35% of the time. Minimum Qualifications
Field sales experience in the Animal Health Industry. Bachelor’s Degree. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent work ethic, professional appearance, and high integrity. Superior communication, relationship building, and presentation skills. Enthusiastic, competitive, and self‑motivated. Analytical ability to assess data and competitive landscape. Ability to work in an environment with free‑roaming animals. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications
Pet parent. Additional Considerations
International relocation or remote working arrangements outside the US are not considered. Ideal candidate lives between Northern NJ and Southern MA for easy clinic visits across the territory. Company Overview
